A big change is coming to Neighborhood Council (NC) Elections for the 2021 season. Vote-By-Mail will be used for all NCs Citywide, in order to protect public health. This presents both a challenge, and an opportunity.
We invite you to be our partner in finding ways to mitigate the challenges and maximize the opportunities this change creates, by sharing your expertise as a Neighborhood Council member, candidate, or voter in this survey on outreach and administration for the 2021 NC Elections. The first round of regional candidate enrollment opens in November 2020, and the season runs through June 2021.
This survey is being conducted in partnership with the Office of the City Clerk, as they provide administrative support for NC elections, while election outreach support is provided by the Department of Neighborhood Empowerment (DONE).
Please respond by 5pm (PT) on Monday, September 7, 2020, to ensure your ideas are taken into account for the joint presentation on the 2021 NC Elections outreach and administration strategy that Clerk and DONE will be making to the City Council’s Health, Education, Neighborhoods, Parks, Arts & River Committee on Thursday, September 24th.
We deeply appreciate your time, and your thoughts on how to improve the Neighborhood Council elections experience.
